Terms of Service
Effective date: July 7, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of SlipLedger, a product of Before The Slip and operated by the operator of Before The Slip (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using SlipLedger, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. What SlipLedger is — and is not
SlipLedger is a private tracking tool for betting history that you enter yourself. It is a record-keeping service only. SlipLedger does not provide picks, betting advice, predictions, tips, odds services, or sportsbook services of any kind; does not accept, place, or facilitate wagers; does not handle gambling funds; and does not recommend bets, sources, or wagering decisions. All results shown are historical calculations from your own entries and do not predict future outcomes.
2. Eligibility
You must be of legal betting age in your jurisdiction (and in all cases at least 18 years old) to use SlipLedger. You are responsible for ensuring that your own wagering activity — which happens entirely outside SlipLedger — is lawful where you live. We may suspend or terminate accounts that misrepresent eligibility.
3. Your account and your data
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you log and for keeping your login credentials secure. Your logged picks, sources, and results are private to your account: we do not publish them, pool them with other users’ data, or rank users publicly. You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion promptly and permanently removes your ledger from our production systems; see the Privacy Policy for what happens to backups, logs, and billing records.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Plans. SlipLedger is a paid subscription: $9.99/month, or $99/year. The pricing shown at checkout controls. Standard (non-founding) pricing may change at our discretion; changes never apply retroactively to a period you have already paid for.
“Continuously active.” Several commitments below last “while your subscription remains continuously active.” This means an unbroken paid subscription: no cancellation taking effect, and no lapse from failed or expired payment that ends the subscription. A brief payment retry that Stripe resolves without the subscription ending does not break continuity. Once continuity is broken, it cannot be restored by re-subscribing.
Founding memberships. Exactly 100 founding memberships exist. Founding is annual-only. A founding member’s rate is locked for life while their subscription remains continuously active. Founding memberships are non-transferable and may not be resold. If a founding subscription lapses, the founding membership and its locked rate are permanently forfeited; forfeited spots are never released, recycled, or resold. The founding benefit is the permanent rate lock — it is not a discount, and the standard price may equal the founding price at any given time.
Monthly rate hold. Your monthly rate is held while your subscription remains continuously active. A lapse ends the held rate; re-subscribing is at then-current pricing.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until canceled. You affirmatively consent to auto-renewal when you subscribe, and the renewal terms are shown at checkout. Cancel any time from Settings → Manage billing (the Stripe customer portal); cancellation stops the next charge and your access continues through the period you already paid for.
Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe — we never see or store your full card details.
New subscriptions come with a 14-day money-back guarantee — see our Refund policy.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use SlipLedger for any unlawful purpose; attempt to access other users’ data; probe, scrape, or disrupt the service; resell or misrepresent SlipLedger data as picks, advice, or predictions; or use the service to promote gambling services to others. We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.
6. Responsible use
SlipLedger exists to help you see your own record clearly. If gambling stops being something you control, help is available: in the United States, call or text 1-800-GAMBLER.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
SlipLedger is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Calculations depend on the data you enter. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for wagering losses, indirect or consequential damages, or lost profits arising from your use of the service; our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
8. Changes to the service or these Terms
We may update SlipLedger and these Terms over time. For material changes to these Terms we will give notice (for example, by email or in-app) before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
